My passion and interest in photography came from my father, who handed me my first camera at 7.  It was a compact Pentax point-and-shoot camera.  You loaded your roll of film and had to wind it before each shot.
When I was 8, he gave me a 35mm Minolta SLR - I now had to focus before I took my shot.  For some reason, you could still look through the viewfinder with the lens cap on, so there were some blank photos.
My dad was a savant when it came to photography and made his own darkroom in a vacant office at his work.  Photography was our thing, but I was too young to really appreciate the time we spent together.
A few years later, he passed away, and I stopped taking photos.
It wasn't until I was 22 that I picked up a camera again - in search of a way to remember him.
Today, photography is my way to explore and express my creative side.  My favourite style of photography is candid shots, where I capture a moment in time.
This website features some of my favourite shots from over 20 years of exploring my world through a lens.
